Quote Boat

Anyone that knows me knows that I have a small obsession with writing down quotes my friends say and finding inspirational, famous quotes to read all the time.  That said, here are a few that I really like:

“If any man seeks greatness, let him forget greatness and ask for truth and he will find both.”  – Horace Mann

“My thing is, life is short and I don’t want to spend my time with a-holes and bastards.” – Lisa Curry

“The purpose of life, after all, is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

“Nothing strengthens the judgment and quickens the conscience like individual responsibility.”- Elizabeth Cady Stanton

“Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.” – T. S. Eliot

“You don’t need to talk to the neighbors. Neighbors impose. I’d rather have the thieves than the neighbors. The thieves don’t impose. The neighbors want your time. The thieves want your things. I’d rather give them things than time.” – Larry David

“Real generosity toward the future lies in giving all to the present.” – Albert Camus

“Neurosis is the inability to tolerate ambiguity.” – Freud

“An adventure is only an inconvenience rightly considered.  An inconvenience is only an adventure wrongly considered.” – G. K. Chesterton

“I do the very best I know how – the very best I can; and I mean to keep on doing it until the end.” – Abraham Lincoln
